emily is 7

Emily turned 7 on february 20th!!! we had a great mother/daughter day. I let her play hookie from school ( my mom used to let me do that sometimes on My birthday)....so i told her we'd do whatever she wanted to do!!! First we had breakfast at the waffle house. MAN they make good waffles. WOW. i hadn't eaten there in years. THEN we drove to slidell to the Toys 'R Us and looked at every single thing in the store. She decideed to get a family of white tigers (she's holding one of them in this picture)...she loves stuffed animals lately. I had caught this huge white tiger at a mardi gras parade (which is on another post, by the way) and she wanted a momma tiger and 2 baby tigers to go with the "daddy tiger"....SO then after that we went to this pet store (where i took her picture by the guinea pigs, LOL)....and then we stopped by my parents' house and my Mom gave Emily some birthday money so she decided she wanted to go to Books-A-Million to spend it.

Well, she ended up buying more stuffed animals, LOL. She got a family of snow dogs that time.

THEN we went to the movies and saw "The Spiderwick Chronicles" which was REALLY good, in my opinion.

THEN the whole family went to the new Bass Pro Shop in Baton Rouge with my sister Carrie and her husband randy and his family. That was FUN. Afterwards we all went to eat at Backyard Burger.

SOOOOOOOOO I think she had a pretty good birthday.

Here's me and my sweet husband Joshua. March 18th was our 13th wedding anniversary. He came home with 3 pots full of purple tulips. He said "And they'll come back every year around this time to remind you of our anniversary." HOW SWEET IS THAT, may I ask???? I can't even begin to explain how much I love this man. We only knew each other for 2 months when we got married. I was only 18! And people thought we must have been plum crazy. Well, we were. CRAZY IN LOVE. And we still are, but even MORE now. He is my favoritest person EVER.

He makes me laugh every day. I look up to him because he is one of the best people I have ever known. He is kind and good. AND LOOK AT HIM. what a hunk.

Julian

Julian made his first basket tonight!! He has played 3 seasons so far and this was their last game of the season, so I can't tell you how happy I was to see him make that shot!!! I was jumping up and down, screaming "That's my baby!!!!" and CRYING. what a spazz!!! It was great. Joshua was the coach this season, and he did such a phenomenal job. He is such an awesome man. he really shines no matter what he does.

Here are Julian and Emily posing with some of their Mardi Gras loot. The look on Emily's face is completely hilarious. Julian maintained that same pose for like 6 pictures, LOL. My kids crack me up. You see the white tiger? I CAUGHT THAT!!!!! that was probably one of the biggest items a person could have possibly caught at that parade. i was jumping up and down like a lunatic when i caught that thing, because Emily LOVES tigers. she held it for the rest of the parade. we caught 3 feather boas, too. first time catching boas for us! tomorrow night we'll be going to an even bigger parade, if the weather holds up.

Julian won 2nd place in the Science fair at his school. He did his project on bread mold. It was a lot of fun helping him with it. he is so adorable.
